ST. JOHN'S MISSION STATEMENT
We are here to share the Good News of salvation and to make disciples of Jesus Christ, in accordance with the Scriptures (Matthew 28:18-20) and with the help of the Holy Spirit. This mission begins with our St. John's family and extends to the Midland community and the world.

EXPANDED VISION
By the power of the Holy Spirit and through the study of God's Word, members of all age levels grow in Christ. St. John's Lutheran Church reaches out to people in a troubled world with God's message of eternal life by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Members of St. John's care for people with Christ's love, in word and deed. Worship and ministry activities utilize the abilities of all members in a variety of ways. The church is firmly established on God's Word, and has sufficient facilities and finances as it moves forward to accomplish its mission.
CONGREGATIONAL GOALS
Each year, usually in late spring, the Staff Leaders work together to set specific goals for their respective areas of ministry. These goals are coordinated under a central theme for the coming year. They are then presented to the Leadership Team for discussion, review, and revision. Then they are presented to the Voters usually at the September Voters Meeting. Normally goals and planning follow the school year schedule, September-June.
